Case Details

This patient had a very severe breast asymmetry which required a multi-staged procedure to correct. She had a right breast mastopexy (lift) with augmentation along with a left breast reduction with augmentation to correct her asymmetry. Different sized Mentor silicone gel implants were used on each breast. The silicone gel implants were placed into a dual-plane sub muscular pocket. Implants were used in both breast to achieve this symmetrical result in size and more importantly the shape of her breast. If an implant was only used on the smaller right breast the two breast would not have achieved a symmetrical shape as the native breast tissue was not as firm as an implant. Using the strategy stated above a very natural and symmetric result was achieved. Needless to say this patient was very satisfied with her completed multi-staged procedure
