Provider: Joseph F. Tamburrino, M.D.
Procedures Performed: Rhinoplasty
Case Details
This patient was displeased with the appearance of her nose. She's had several nose jobs in the past performed by another plastic surgeon. Some of her concerns included dissatisfaction was her dorsal hump, a crooked nose, a lumpy and poorly defined nasal tip, and a nasal airway obstruction She generally had a very poor result from original rhinoplasty elsewhere. She wanted these deformities correct with a revision rhinoplasty. She was hoping to have a natural and softer look without an over-done appearance. She underwent a revision Rhinoplasty (nose job) and septoplasty to correct her nasal deformities. A dorsal hump reduction was performed. A limited septoplasty along with harvesting of ear cartilage was performed to obtain cartilage which was used for spreader grafts, a columellar strut graft which was used to fix the plunging nasal tip, and nasal tip grafts. Osteotomies were also performed to narrow her nasal dorsum and reshape her nose. Advanced nasal tip suturing techniques were used to refine the shape of her nasal tip. Despite the lack of achieving a perfectly straight nasal dorsal due to warped septal cartilage she was very happy with the appearance of her new nose.
